China 95 Trip
My father-in-law came to America in 1948 before the communists took over. He brought Mom and son over in 1955. Once the kids were grown, he and Mom returned to China in 1985. Dad returned again in 1995, this time with daughters Susan (my late wife) and her two sisters.
All the photos (nearly 300 negatives) were taken by Susan using one of the Canon Sure Shot 35mm cameras. I selected those photos that I considered to be of the best technical and compositional quality (with the exception of the newborns photo). I used Adobe Lightroom Classic, V10 to post-process the photos. This included spot removal, cropping, and some exposure editing.
All the notes in the album were compiled from Susan’s notes on the back of prints, with additional information provided by her two sisters. Some photos lack identifying information because there were no notes on the back of prints. This suggests that Susan was shooting alone. She was never apprehensive about doing this. When she and I traveled, I would occasionally take an afternoon nap to be fresh for the evening outings. Susan would sometimes use that time to go out and explore by herself.
